RPM is entered in USD. Use your own YouTube Analytics RPM, converted to USD if needed. Revenue varies by audience, format and season. This is an estimate, not a guarantee.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter the video views and your average daily views.
  2. Set your RPM in USD; use your own Analytics data when available.
  3. Choose a currency and compare the video, monthly and yearly estimates.

How it works

The calculator multiplies your views by your RPM (revenue per 1,000 views): earnings = views ÷ 1,000 × RPM. RPM is entered in US dollars, and every result is calculated in dollars first.

If you choose another currency, the dollar result is converted using a recent exchange rate. The rate and the time it was last updated are shown under the results.

Monthly and yearly estimates are based on your average daily views multiplied by 30 and 365 days.

Example

A video with 1,000,000 views and an RPM of $3 gives 1,000,000 ÷ 1,000 × 3 = $3,000. With 5,000 daily views at the same RPM, the monthly estimate is $450.

Limitations

  • RPM differs a lot between niches, countries, seasons and video formats. Use the RPM from your own YouTube Analytics for the most realistic result.
  • The result is an estimate before any taxes or payment fees and is not a guarantee of income.
  • Exchange rates change daily, so converted amounts are approximate.

Frequently asked questions

What is RPM on YouTube?

RPM (revenue per mille) is how much a creator earns per 1,000 views after YouTube's revenue share. It is different from CPM, which is what advertisers pay.

Where do I find my real RPM?

In YouTube Studio, open Analytics and then the Revenue tab. Your RPM is shown there if your channel is monetized.

Why is the RPM entered in dollars?

USD is the calculation base for this tool. If your Analytics RPM is in another currency, convert it to USD before entering it; estimated revenue can then be displayed in your selected currency.
